In January, Hutchison Ports BEST Barcelona Terminal opened a brand new Operations Center.
This new center, which has state-of-the-art technology, has made it possible to have a more global overview of all terminal operations, in actual real time.
This improvement, added to the operating system already used by the terminal, will favor terminal operation performance, thus continuing to offer customers a high level of service, as well as one of the best productivity rates in the market.
Since its official opening in September 2012, BEST has continued to set new standards for ports in the region: achieving a ship productivity rate (VOR) of more than 220 movements per hour and a sustained average performance of more than 40 movements per hour per crane (GCR), one of the highest in the world.
