BEST participates one more year in the GO GREEN campaign

Once again, this year the BEST terminal, member of the Hutchison Ports group, has participated in the environmental GO GREEN initiative. This is an initiative of all the terminals of the group, which aims to raise awareness of environmental issues and take appropriate measures to protect the environment. Between September 10th and 16th, 34 BU of Hutchison Ports participated in the fifth annual GO GREEN initiative a joint environmental campaign between Hutchison Ports, DP World, PSA, the Port of Rotterdam and the International Port of Shanghai Ports.
This year, the activity chosen by the community to encourage recycling has been the collection of cans. For this purpose, the collection containers have been distributed throughout the Terminal and an educational campaign has been carried out with the employees during the weeks prior to the event.
BEST is one of the most technologically advanced and environmentally friendly container terminals in the entire Mediterranean region, and the available equipment follows the latest emission regulations established by the EU. Other initiatives, such as LED lighting or the ‘Paperless’ system in offices, have also been implemented as part of BEST’s commitment to the environment.
