BEST improves efficiency of cargo inspections

Following previous communications regarding the role of container terminals and the Union Customs Code, BEST terminal will start offering its customers the service of physical recognition of goods for inspections carried out within its facilities.

BEST, having AEO and customs representative status, is able to provide this service in an efficient and secure manner and have qualified and specialised personnel who will be present at the inspections carried out by Customs.

Thanks to this new service, customers will be able to benefit from significant savings in resources and time by not having to send their staff to the terminal. In addition, they will gain in efficiency and agility by obtaining real-time information of the inspections carried out.

Given the current situation marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, the fact that BEST can offer the service of physical inspection of goods translates into greater security for everyone, by limiting movement and crowding of people at the inspection site, thus considerably minimising the risk of possible contagion. Furthermore, additional measures such as prior appointments for custom representatives to be present at inspections are no longer necessary

For further information regarding physical recognition of goods provided by BEST, please contact the Cargo Solutions Department at the following e-mail address: cargo.solutions@best.com.es or by calling 935084440.
